I dunno why everyone is looking for huge mind-blowing changes from previous versions of the phone.

I mean, there isn't much diff between Galaxy Note and Note II, or Galaxy SII and SIII, but no one seems to make a big deal out of that. I'm sure there weren't any mindblowing changes between the different Blackberry versions either.

actually, the iphone 5 does have the best benchmark out there for performance... just saying...

i think you're lumping a select few that say it's the best into the rest of the population. harry yeh and your brother could be thought of poster boy apple fanbois.

i don't think there's nothing that sets it apart (besides the app thing), but i'll stop here at the risk of being lumped into the hated apple fanboi section as well

I don't think the new iPhones are technically "sub-par". I just think they're not living up to user expectations or hype.

Seems to me it's like PCs. If you're going to upgrade every single time a new CPU or motherboard comes out, you will likely be disappointed with every single update. If you wait 5-10 years between upgrades, you will likely notice a significant difference. Not sure why this cellphone yuppie crowd feels compelled to upgrade after every little marginal update.



OMG... the design of my favorite model of shoes has just been updated and they're supposed to be a full gram lighter! I guess I'm going to have to throw my old pair out, now.

At the end of the day, it's just another phone. Only reason I don't like iphone is cuz they are telling me what i can and cannot install on my phone, no google maps, flash etc. Plus no ability to add a SD card.

seems like iphone5's dual core A6 beats out the note's quad core

that being said, comparing a smartphone to a phablet theoretically is unfair anyways... the note 2 is so much bigger that they can cram a bigger battery and more hardware in the form factor.

i have still yet to find a site that says any sammy smartphone is faster than the iphone5... can you cite where you read that samsung is putting out faster phones than the iphone 5? i wouldn't mind reading what it says for research on my next phone

faster processor is always subjective to context.
physically faster (> Ghz) doesn't necessarily equal actually faster
better hardware doesn't mean much, if you compare different software

a still a bit dated when it comes to smart phones and stuff.

just based on my general compsci knowledge. a head-to-head comparison of samsung/iphone is a bit like comparing and apple to an orange. you are comparing different hardware, on different OS, using different software.

hk is big on nfc, they've been using it pretty regular for like what, a decade? it's only a matter of time before it's more common here. i use my paypass wherever it works and will continue to do so.
yeah, my 9900 has nfc, and to be honest, i've never used it, because it isn't so mainstream here yet and i have no other blackberry friend to use it with! lol so sad. but if the banks or cc companies would put an app out, i'd use it all the time. there are other uses too, but i'd need either tags of my own ($20 on amazon but shipping is like a billion dollars) or another nfc device which i've already explained about.
