so don't expect to park in front of our house for a while. they're building a sidewalk finally. it'll probably take a couple weeks. and it's going to cost a couple grand per house, which sucks for us because we have two houses on the block (well, sucks more for my inlaws than for me).
i am now thinking of places to park my car, as i was the one parked in front.

Can't you park in that open area next to the garage?

you mean the area that's fenced off? i guess i could, but i'd have to find a trampoline big enough for my car to hop that fence.
and i'll also have to do something with the grass since it gets pretty mushy in the rain, i wouldn't want my car to sink, especially from landing from its jump.

I thought there was a gate that opens?

oh, yeah, there's a gate that opens. but it's about 3 feet wide and is meant for humans and the occasional garbage can.

You can park at my place if you want.
I'll give you a ride home after you park there.

Does Avondale have those Residents Only signs on the street? If not, just park somewhere there.

As you are trying to figure out where to park, you should play this game i found,
www.minecraft.net. It's very relaxing.

they're doing both sides, and avondale is super far to walk man. it wouldn't be so bad if the house wasn't in the middle of the freaking block, which it is.
the weird thing is that the signs have been up since yesterday "no parking 7am-5pm", but there were cars parked there all day, and not one sign of a construction worker. a lot of pylons, but no workers.
i left for work at around 8:30 today and there was no sign of anyone. and there were still cars parked everywhere.

If they need to, they will tow you, though not necessarily to the impound lot... and they may not tell you where they left your car. It'll be up to you to walk around and try and find your car on some nearby(ish) street.

yeah, that's what i was worried about. i tried to wake up earlier but i couldn't, and while rolling around in bed, i didn't hear any construction going on so i figured i was safe.
what i think i'll do in the future is just see where they're working and park around that. there's no room in the back and i'm not really willing to park a freaking block away. i guess i could always just park at my uncle's house down the street.

so they started the construction a couple days ago, but when i got home today they really tore the road apart. there'll be NO parking whatsoever (even if you parked on the road you couldn't get to our house due to a 3 foot ditch separating the road from the house), so i guess i won't be hosting for a while.
who's up for hosting?
or playing some online poker? lol.

Yeah, I passed by on the way home from work... I was gonna post when I got home, but I forgot. The road is totally gone now.
I saw tons of people parking on Smith. But I guess you have your parking spot in back now.
