Plus, it'd be a great reason to get all new gear, lol

isn't whistler going to be off limits for a couple weeks for some event that no one's ever heard of?

i'd be down, but can't for a few reasons:
1) i sorta suck at skiing and my boarding skills never improved since i've only been once
2) i have no gear
3) i have no money for gear
4) come to think of it, i have no money for a pass too
5) i have a baby to care for
6) i don't really want to go

arent some of the local mountains being used for olympic events/training as well? i really hope those passes are discounted because you wont be able to get a full season in... plus, during the olympics, it'll probably take you years to travel that highway because of the volume

I'm hoping the mountains won't get super busy until mid January. I think the ski resorts are offering discounted season passes, but I'm not really looking for season passes. If I get to go maybe half a dozen times this season, I'll be happy.
