Some of my American counterparts just don't understand why I'm not rejoicing all over the place.
sad....
Good read

10 years later and one more dead body... does it really matter that much anymore... his death won't bring back the life of anyone that died on 9/11
just more disheartening news that makes it seem that peace in that part of the world won't happen anytime soon..

Doesn't accomplish anything. He was just a figurehead. Pluck a nose-hair, you get 5 more. Nothing really changes.
I see no point in celebrating someone's death.

i'm glad i'm not the only one who feels this way.
his demise does not change anything except maybe obamas approval rating.
i am a little offended at all the graphic imagery out there. i don't need or want to see the results of a navy SEAL team go in and kill anybody. now they are talking about releasing video? really? am i the only one who thinks that the US is breeding hate? how is this different from them celebrating attacks against us? certainly something had to be done with bin laden, but the mass celebrations afterward are a little much for me to stomach.

is that guy who wrote the article an american? if so i have a feeling he's dead by now (not really, just making a point).
the problem with patriotism (and in this case extreme patriotism), is that it fuels hypocrisy and delusion. it tells those who are "in" that they are the good guys regardless of how bad they are and those who are "out" are the bad guys, regardless of how good they are. i am not celebrating the death of osama, nor am i celebrating the death of those who died in 9/11 or all the other deaths that came as a result of it.
i was pretty disappointed with how obama made it sound like it was all him. there were a lot of "i statements" in the announcement, which only really points out one thing: arrogance.

Well, it IS almost election time for them...
I wonder why they didn't do what they did with Saddam Hussein where they brought him to the U.S. to put him on trial.
