so more and more is coming to light on the huge PSN breach. It looks like ALL 77 million accounts were in some way compromised. Sony is not totally sure yet what data was captured, but name, address, password, and credit card information could be out there. At some point sony was saying that credit card numbers were encrypted, but i have not since heard this so i'm not sure anymore. no mention was made on the password security.
for the paranoid out there (/me puts on tin foil hat) you should probably at least change some passwords (if you use similar passwords on psn as on gmail for example) or even request a new credit card.

a co-worker said that he did have fraudulent charges to his cc after the incident. so if you kept cc info on psn i suggest you cancel your cards.

Sony got haxxd again... Sony Pictures this time, and 1 million accounts got stolen, plus some online coupon codes and employee records. The group that did it has a file with over 50000 account login/pw's available for download.
Apparently, Sony stores all these account infos in plain text format.... outrageous!

lol... awesome...
in any case, PSN is offering all those who've had an account before the hax 2 free games to download as a "welcome back" or more like "sorry we effed up, here's two free super old games that are worth $20 combined as compensation for the fact that we lost your cc info and you could've lost thousands of dollars"

Yea, if you go to the PS store on your ps3, there's a "Welcome Back" button that leads you to the option of picking up the two free games. The games are pretty old though. Infamous, Little Big Planet (1 not 2), Dead Nation (tried it, kinda like zombie contra, still kinda boring), and one other crappy looking game

Little Big Planet 1. I know joyce liked this game, even though we finished it. Maybe is worth d/l then. I heard good things about Infamous as well and never tried it.

Kevin Butler says you can't finish Little Big Planet.
