i voted lcars b/c i am guessing you'd find that cooler or else you wouldn't have suggest it begin with.

i'd probably go with floorplan myself, just b/c i would think i'd get sick of the lcars myself after awhile.

can you switch between the two like themes? i know nothing about ipads, just seems like it should be a reasonable feature.

i said lcars because i'm a geek too but i think floor plan is the best for anyone in general. Although i know coleen is a star trek geek too so i'm sure she'd be fine with it

I'm not sure if the poll is meant to represent what we'd prefer for ourselves, or what we'd suggest for you so i voted for the former; I voted for floorplan. Although I like Star Trek (and watch it nearly every day), LCARS just crosses a personal line that I've drawn. The "Line" in this case could be described as the 'fanboy line' but actually extends beyond to include behaviour such as buying name-brand items solely for the name. Perhaps the line would best be described as the 'wanna be' line. And since I have little to no sense of self as it is, i'd stay clear of LCARS; I'd go for floorplan.

But that's just me.

I voted for other... I agree with Joel - I think you'd get bored of the LCARS after a while.
I think you should do changeable themes.

as cool as lcars would be, i think you'd get tired of it too. it'll just be for novelty. kinda like the 24 phone ring that mike had for text messages.
