i suppose i understand that they're celebrating the end of his crazy reign, but once again, just like killing bin laden, it's kinda messed to celebrate the killing of someone

I think this case is a bit different than the Bin Laden one.
The people celebrating were affected first-hand by the tyranny of Gadhafi and they're not celebrating the killing, but the liberation that comes about from Gadhafi's death.

yeah, people were oppressed under him, bin laden was just hiding in a hut.
i'm curious as to what life is going to be like for them now.

not sure if anything really changes... dictators come and go... oppression, suffering, war, unrest and turmoil seem to stick around no matter who's in charge, especially in this region of the world.

that's what i mean. living under tyanny sucks, but if it's the only life they know they may not survive until anoher dictator shows up.

sorta like living with an abusive partner. patterns emerge.
