don't mess around man, seriously. whether it's an optometrist or family doctor, see someone that will point you in the right direction. if they say it's nothing, go get a second opinion.
your vision isn't something to play around with.

I'd see your GP first. Your vision problems sound more auxiliary affected rather than directly related to your eyes.
Either way, your GP would be able to refer you to a Opthalmologist, whereas your optometrist wouldn't be able to give any sort of referrals.

yeah that's true. gp's have a lot of hook ups and stuff like that. hopefully they won't send you to someone with a super long waiting list.

Unfortunately all specialists in Canada have pretty long wait lists. You're hard pressed to even find a new GP that's accepting new patients.

yeah, but there are times when you get lucky and the wait is minimal.

They take you based on priority as well. That last time I went to see a specialist because of my kidney cancer scare, I got in there pretty quick and got an appointment for an MRI like within 2 weeks of that.

Not yet. I think I'm going to try the simple solution first. Eat more, and rest my eyes.

fyi, I went to the optometrist today.
He thought that my double vision was most likely due to eye fatigue as well as how an astigmatism has developed now in my eyes. According to him, no big deal. Watch more tv, spend less time on the computer. Hopefully that's all it is.

glad to hear that you made it out to see someone about it. and glad to hear that it doesn't sound too serious. are you going to get a second opinion just in case?

Yeah, he said that the tv is probably far enough away. The problem can occur from constantly focusing close up for long periods of time.
