Sorry, this is just a bit of a ranting post.
I was just at Superstore, and it was busy as usual for the weekend. This seems to just affect Superstore - all common courtesies and sense go out the window when people shop at Superstore.
People cut you off, block the aisles with two carts, ram you from behind, walk super slow like they own the place and are just more aggressive in general. Plus, it seems like people go deaf when they're there because they can't hear you when you say, "excuse me!"
It's not that bad at Walmart or Save On Foods.. Just Superstore for some reason.

save-on foods = rich people
walmart = poor people that respect other poor people

that's why i hate any form of shopping this time of year... that's why i try to finish all christmas shopping before december... although you're probably at superstore because you're grocery shopping which is unavoidable.. I'd probably go grocery shopping on monday nights when i move out

Weekends are definitely worse, but weekday nights aren't much better.

superstore is 24 hours now, so if you go at 3am you might have some luck.
the tax free days or whatever are the worst. line ups go for miles and miles. it sucks.

Superstore is 24 hours? Is it permanent, or just a holiday thing?

joyce and i go to pricesmart on sundays around usually around 9ish (closes at 11p)... never had a problem there and at the time the place is pretty empty. even on a sunday afternoon, the lineup is still pretty minimal.
yes superstore is always crazy busy, so we find it not worth crowds/lineups and extra time spent. we will go to superstore once and a while to pick up some things that we may not be able to find elsewhere.
we don't shop much groceries at walmart, maybe stuff that's prepackaged...

i was at superstore yesterday at around 9:30 to pick up some stuff and it was super busy. there was this old guy (looked like george carlin) at the end of a line and was yelling "what's goin on? can't we keep these lines movin? i don't have all month to stand here in line!" he was genuinely mad. and people were genuinely laughing at him haha.
they didn't have what i was looking for so i just left.

price smart is actually not so bad... prices are comparable. The only diff is that superstore has better sales and more sales more often on items in general... if things aren't on sale, it's not that big of a diff

no frills? never even heard of it haha. where is it?
a funny story about price smart, ben went to the price smart near his old place and he asked what time they close. they said midnight. he said "whoa cool, just like save on". the guy said, "this is save on".
ben thought it was price smart the whole time lol. i know they're the same company, i just thought it was hilarious.
