Something similar... remember when Marty's girlfriend was sneaking around inside their crappy future home? They had that window that was broken, but the window was an electronic window that showed images of different outside views.

i can't wait to see what they integrate these type of panels into. Transparent displays are all the rage right now. I want to see these panels built into car windshields. That'd be awesome. You can have your speedometer and other gauges on your windshield

i would assume one would want to use voice commands to control what gauges or widgets appear on your hud? or tell it to display a map of your destination? or tell it to pull up some pron on your windshield at every red light? haha

i would want all my gauges visible at all times. not sure why some cars came without a tach. always thought that was weird.

lol, no tach isn't so bad on automatic cars, but on manual transmission cars, that's just wacky. I remember my friend's old civic didn't have a tach and it was stick... i always wondered if you needed the power in the upper rpms how you'd tell you were redlining the car... my guess was that the engine would just blow to tell you that you've redlined lol

although i don't depend on my tach for shift points, i do look at it to see how much i'm revving from time to time.
i think most hud's just have speed though, now that i think about it.
