i think for both sexes one of the most appealing qualities is confidence. no one wants a wuss. it seems like that's what the article is getting at, at least.

i'd agree that there are too many men out there trying to be women. you know, spending obscene amounts of money on clothes and shoes, spending a lot of time in front of the mirror before leaving the house, coordinating socks to shirts, and even going so far as to getting their ears pierced... oh wait.

lotsa women want wusses so they can control them lol... i'm pretty sure we all know a few guys who are in that situation

Yeah, those confident "badboy" traits are good if you want to get some "strange". Its terrible for finding stable relationship material women though.

Confidence is great, but theres a line between confidence and douchebaggery.
I'm generally nice to women I like, not because they are women and I'm trying to "get with them", its because I would treat my friends the same way. If they see it as a some sort of turn off, then they're immature and its their loss anyways. I actually find it a relief to turn off the confidence and be a wuss once in a while. Its nice to switch off and get coddled once in a while.

I'm not sure women even know what they want. It seems to me they want the traditional strong, confident, capable, manly man who's a leader, not a follower, who is firm in their beliefs, etc. Yet, they want a man who will cook, clean, do laundry, and change dirty diapers for them too.

They want someone who will make the decisions, but they want to have the final say. They want a man who is confident and who will take charge and beg, "Will you marry me?"

Lately I've been reading about how there aren't many men around anymore; we're all just boys who shave. I know I'm one of them, but I also find myself asking, ok.... I know I have nothing to offer, but what do you really have to offer? I mean, I've lived 30+ years on my own too.

Stop thinking about what they want, and worry more about what you want.

If you find you have nothing to offer, then work on yourself. Work on your social skills, physical health, your life experiences, your social network, finances, spirituality, everything.........

Its like that oil/water ANALogy, they eventually settle with their own level. Thats why you see bimbos with the JTs..err i mean douchebags.

i don't think men or women know what they want. they feel what they feel and go with that, although cognitively they would tell themselves that they could do better or need better.

it's like in the movie notebook, by all rights that chick should have went with cyclops, but she ended up marrying a poor slob.

the truth is, anyone could get along with anyone, it just depends on how much you want to get along with that person. it's because of our modern "choice" of relationships that has us thinking about what we need and want in a relationship. it's nice that we have those options now, but in the old days people would marry for babies, not love.

in the old days u can have multiple wives.

having more than one makes them all insecure though... because of that, they pander to your needs instead of the other way around to get your attention. I think fynn may be onto something... unless you're a putz and you take more than one needy, b!tchy, whiny controlling wife... then it'd be fml * x(wives)
