The spider thing is totally true.. I had a friend of a friend's brother die from spider venom overdose because she swallowed too many spiders.

i didn't even know half of those were myths.

as in, i never even heard of the myth. why would blood in your veins be blue? that's just stupid.

man made cities aren't seen from space. the light is. light isn't a man made structure.

no, i'm saying that it's inaccurate for saying that cities are the largest man made structures that can be seen from space because it isn't the city that you're seeing. it's the light. light isn't a man made structure.

i can SEE the sun, as well as its light. you can't see cities from space when the sun is shining on it (or can you? i dunno).

I guess if you see it as merely light, then I'd agree... but when the light looks like this:



Then it's hard to say it's not a man-made structure.

i dont' see buildings. i only see light. granted, it's light in the shape of a city, but it's not the man made structures that i see, it's the light that is coming from them.

a structure can be considered as a "building" but a structure can also be interpreted as a formed object (collection of smaller objects or not). You could say the lights form a structure formed by man made inventions? i dunno... maybe i'm stretching it a bit.

no, i totally am. i know that. i just think his reasoning is off on that one. i could put giant floodlights all along the great wall and say that he's wrong in that the great wall can't be seen from space then.

Yeah, I didn't agree with that one either. Just because you can't tell if a line you see in a pic is the Great Wall or not doesn't negate the fact that one of those lines IS the Great Wall, therefore, it can be seen.

I just didn't know where you were going with your argument.
