Just when I got up to speed with -N

I'm not even sure they ever got it past Draft-N and it seems like everyone is still pretty slow to adopt wireless-N as an industry standard. Now they've come out with wireless-AC! Three times faster than -N. Pretty exciting stuff.

speaking of which, anyone hear about shaw's wifi around town? i read a little something on shaw's website that it's already up and running.

from what i understand, you just have to be an existing shaw customer.
at least that's what i read when they announced it last year that they wanted to offer city-wide wifi rather than trying to get into the mobile phone market.

draft-n is a theoretical speed though. I upgraded to draft-n like a few months ago but i can never get the max Mbps draft-n advertises. You need to have everything working in your favour to get the speeds up there... i think even with draft-n, i got only up to 125Mbps sitting right beside the router lol
