Holy freaking crap! This is why I love technology.

that's some pretty cool stuff... that kinda technology can be applied to so many different uses

seriously no one thought of this?

but anyway, i don't see the use of this technology unless it tells you where other things such as carrots, cereal and/or bootlegger stores are. i can find my own way around a building, exit signs are posted everywhere.

I think the example they used of the supermarket was kind of dumb, but then there's a lot more potential to this technology than just for finding your way around a store. You know, real life stuff like figuring your way out of the corn maze for example.

or maybe a labrynth with a minotaur in the middle of it.

Or if you forget where you parked your car. *looksovershoulder*

you know, i've honestly never forgotten where i've parked my car before. i'm actually surprised at how many people have. it's not that hard to remember where it is.

The problem is when you park at say... Metrotown mall over and over and over and over and over and over. If you park in different places every time, it can get difficult to remember where you parked vs where you parked yesterday, or three days ago. That's why I park in the same 3 basic areas every time. If I can't find parking, then I go home. It's probably too busy in there for me anyway.

i usually park in the same general areas, but if i don't, i've never forgotten where i did end up parking. even when i go to a place i hardly go, it's not that hard to look at the giant pillars that give you the general area of where you are.

I think the only time I had problems finding my car was... well... on Sunday. I didn't realize how confusing it was underground at the Starlight. :$

haha, it can be confusing if you leave the parking lot from one direction and then come back from another, but by the time we left, the area that we parked was completely deserted (i think mostly employees park there or something), so it was pretty easy to find the only car in that corner of the lot.

i usually only forget where i parked if i'm parking in a place where i don't go to very often.

anyway, most stand-alone gps units have "where did i park" options. but i guess it's kind of lame carrying that honking thing around with you.

now there's an idea for an iphone app
