what say you? travel 30 minutes extra (plus who knows what being stuck in traffic) or just pay the toll?

Some people who have complained that a new bridge was needed to alleviate traffic are now saying they'd rather stick to the old route than pay a toll. Go figure.

that because people are idiots. they're rather waste time over being smart about wasted time.
case in point: lining up to buy apple products lol. they're the same device in a couple weeks when there are no line-ups. actually, they're probably better.

I guess it depends on how much time it would save, and how much longer you'd have to work in order to pay for it.

as of right now the toll is $1.50 for those who signed up for that thing. going both ways that's $3.00 (and i guess max $6.00 after that intro price), but you'll save probably close to an hour.

who makes less than $6.00 an hour that has a car to drive to work?

Who wants to work another half hour a day to pay for the toll to get to/from work.
And of course it's twice as much if you're pulling a trailer, and three times as much if you're a semi.

i wouldn't want to work the extra half hour, but i'll take the extra half hour of sleep in the morning and then the extra half hour with my kids in the evening.

Some ppl were saying it only takes them 45mins to work instead of 2 hours each way. Some ppl are rather pay more for gas.

so i brought this up with winnie and kitty last night, and they were saying how the government is stupid for making the tolls and causing the traffic on the other bridge, and pretty much said how they'd rather sit in traffic rather than pay the $6 a day.

i lol'ed.

it's because we are used to getting everything free. Lots of countries have tolls for highways and bridges, and ppl learn to live with it.

like austrailia. i made a wrong turn and had to pay the same toll twice. then back in canada i got a ticket for not paying enough haha.

a ticket from austrailia, that is. i didn't pay it.

Just make sure you pay within seven days of crossing. If they bill you, it'll cost $2.30 extra per crossing.
