The Economist has Canada's house prices as the most overvalued and prices are still rising lol.

man alive i should have listened to my manager at shoppers and just bought houses like crazy. they were cheap back in 96 too, like 150-200k. i could have picked up a couple, rented them out, and killed my youth.

How do you consider it overvalued? By the person who can't afford it, based on the local income, or by the demand? Cuz in each of these markets, there are still ppl buying them. Everyone was saying it's overvalued for the longest time, especially during the financial crises, yet prices shot up even higher a couple years later.

cost of building hasn't went up that much, has it? maybe that has something to do with it as well?

anyway, i think if anyone were to accurately predict the future, then they'd be rich. the only way to do that is to actually go to the future, find a farmer's almanac from the past 50 years, go back to the past and give said almanac to a younger version of yourself (but being careful not to touch yourself as same matter cannot occupy same space at same time) and watch the money roll in.

this is like predicting the end of the world thing. Eventually someone will be right if you keep saying it long enuff.
