http://whocallsme.com/Phone-Number.aspx/8665692226http://www.cbc.ca/news/business/story/2 ... rning.htmlThey refunded me for all five of my lines and I've always had premium texts blocked. If you don't already, you really should request that they put a premium text block on all your lines.
FYI

i don't get how they can just start charging you like that.
i can see people missing it on their bills, but it getting there to begin with is nuts.

Yep. In the past you had to actually accept a person-person telephone call. Seems those days are gone. Now they just throw their hands up in the air and say, "It's not our problem".

Yeah, it happened to my dad a few years ago. I haven't read the news articles that Jai posted, but I heard the CRTC was thinking of making the cell companies liable for allowing these types of charges go through on customer's cell phone bills.
It's ridiculous how difficult it was getting Fido to reverse the charges a few years ago. Their reasoning was that they had nothing to do with it. If I wanted the charges reversed, I would have to contact the company directly who charged the amount.
I called Fido up, had the Fido guy call the fraudulent company with me on the line.
Here's how the convo went:
Fraud lady: The only way we would charge the customer is if the customer texted us to opt into the program
Me: Fido guy, can you please check my account and see if I ever sent a text on the date this lady is saying I opted in?
Fido guy: No, you sent no texts on that date
Me: Actually, in fact, can you tell this lady if I have EVER sent a text in the history of my account?
Fido guy: No, you've never actually sent any texts before
Me: Lady, I need you to reverse the charge please.
Me: Hello?
Me: Hey Fido guy, the lady hung up... they're obviously a fraud company, can you please please please reverse the charge?
Fido guy: Sorry, I can't... it's company policy.
So in the end (after 2 hours of arguing), I had to speak to a manager to get the charge reversed. The manager made it sound like she was doing me a favour too, but at that point, I was too tired of arguing and just said "thank you".

too bad there's no review site in which you could post a complaint.
and wow, from what i remember that was word for word of how it went down (at least how you posted it last time). what's wrong with these phone companies? for customer service reasons alone i'd reverse the charges.
