no more pennies

but the ones we have could be worth something. i knew that older ones could be worth more, but i didn't realise how much. i have quite a few jars and such at home, perhaps i should start looking.

I looked this up before.. one of the oldest pennies in mint condition that collectors have is only worth about $5.

It's like collecting books. Unless you a super special one of a kind edition, then it's worth practically nothing.

the vid said a 1925 penny could easily get you $50. a mint condition could be up to $1000.
i have one from the 1800's, but i have a feeling it's not that rare since i have two of them.

I dunno, I looked up prices on pennies before and the most expensive one I saw was $50.
I think American coins are worth more.

My dad had a coin book. In it I found several that were quite valuable, but then again most of those were due to errors in their creation... ie. missing crowns, missing straps, etc.

I personally never actually found any pennies (or other coins) that were worth much though.

Remember back in the day when the loonie first came out and everybody thought the queen was wearing a king's crown? Suddenly everybody wanted one and was paying pretty good coin for then. Reminds me of the dot-com craze. haha.
