This is a pretty good book. Talks about introverts and the true definition of what an introvert is... not the stereotypical, modern cultural definition where introverts are awkward, nerdy, glasses-wearing, comic-booking reading loners who stutter when they talk.

I would also say this book isn't just for introverts who want to learn about themselves. It's a good book if you're an extrovert who wants to learn how to interact with introverts, or vice versa.

We (as in North America) live in a loud world, and this world favours A-type personalities, or extroverts. This book says that even introverts have to pretend to be extroverted just to be successful. For those who are introverted and can't pretend, then we're SOL (my opinion, not the book's).

There isn't just one definition of introversion, but the author explains how it's definitely not something just as simple as being socially awkward. I found that the purpose of the book is to get a better understanding of yourself as an introvert so you can be true to yourself instead of living up to what society has told you that you are.

i was suggested to read this book a while ago since i have an introverted wife. i also suggested to said wife to read it. neither of us put any action to that suggestion.

is it a long read? it sounds interesting, but i am bad at reading. haha

the physical book is pretty thick, i saw it at chapters. but i find reading ebooks much easier as you don't know how much more you have until the end to discourage you haha.

Haha yeah, I have the ebook version, so it didn't seem like a long read for me.
It says it's 368 pages though, which is about the size of an average novel.
