Everyone's up in arms about Chip Wilson saying this, but, I think this Chip guy is just saying what every guy is already thinking haha

Seriously though, don't these women try on the clothes before they buy it? If they did try them on (and of all the women I know, a majority of them love trying on clothes), then that means they bought the pants knowing full well that they are sheer. If they knew they were sheer and bought them anyway, then what are they complaining about?

Also, so it's okay for the pants to be super form fitting, but it's not okay for them to be sheer?

Also, in terms of sheerness factors, Lululemon is not nearly the worst offender within the clothing business.

Some women just don't have gap. I don't think it's necessarily a weight issue.

Also, clothes wear out.

If you don't like it, don't buy it.

^^ I disagree. If your plan is to market for a particular segment, then go ahead and vocalize it. Society is far too sensitive about it now. It's baffles me to no end how it's acceptable (even applauded) to be obese and happy with it, but on the flip side, if you're anorexic and ok with it, then you have a problem that requires immediate intervention and behaviour readjustment

His job is to sell his product though. So if society is too sensitive, than he should be a little more sensitive with his words. What I see happening now, (from the feedback I can see on social media) is that relatively fit people are voicing their displeasure with what Chip said.

if he's in the business of making money, then he should have kept his mouth shut. i'm sure LOTS of fatties (and then some) are going to stop buying yoga pants now, just like how so many white knights gave away their a&f clothing.

if he's in the business of outfitting "beautiful" people with sheer tight pants, then he did the exact right thing.

It's really only sheer when people buy sizes that are too small for them. That's the point. So if they aren't making a size big enough for you, then clearly, you business is not wanted.

they do have those bigger sizes though. them ladies just want the smaller "slimming" sizes lol.
