usb wireless adaptors

school me on these things.

i'm trying to get the whole house wireless (kids are tugging at cords now), which wouldn't be a problem except kitty's crappy computer doesn't even have room for a wireless card. so my solution is to get one of these usb wireless adaptors. i found one at the office that no one is going to use and tried to install it, but it apparently wouldn't let me do it properly without the install cd, which i think i JUST threw away over the summer. i looked at best buy and they have them ranging from 10 bucks to 40 bucks, so of course cheaper is better.

any thing i should look for or any recommendations or any type of hint as to how i can convince kitty to just get a new computer? thanks dudes.

That's the same brand, but it doesn't look like that. The one I have is uglier, haha.

can do way more than a crappy use wifi stick at about the same or less cost.

Lol, that's a cool product, but it won't help in this situation. He's looking to add wifi capability to an old laptop that doesn't have wifi built in.
