it'd be faster to save up actual cash than airmiles. i've been saving them up for years and i barely have enough to get a blender.

Singapore airlines is part of Star alliance. 80k points to fly business class for one way, not sure about first class. Took me 4 years to save up for a return business class ticket. Got to fly back with one of those seats that turn into a bed, just not a king size bed and a private room.

cathay has business class like that sorta, you don't get a room but you get like a cubicle or something with your seat turning into a bed and a "guest seat" that could also double as a ottoman.
