1.) park at skytrain
2.) ????
3.) profit
I'm watching Salo vs Erhoff for 50 bucks. About 1/10th of the canucks roster for half the cost of a canucks game

Lol, this isn't really a vote. It's almost as fair a vote as when we were voting whether or not we should put that tigger pic up for Dave.

it takes me a max of 10 minutes to get to work every day. and today i found a route that means i only meet 3 lights on the way (whether or not they're green or red is up to fate).
so i don't care about the traffic. i just won't do anything but work and go home for two weeks (much like i do every day of my life now that i'm a father).

pwnd, So i live like 3 mins away from work so the traffic issue isn't a big deal for me. But my manager scheduled me for training one of the weeks during the olympics. And yay me, the training is downtown...
My coworker was selling his opening ceremony tix at face value cuz him and his wife couldn't go for some reason. Out of curiosity i asked how much. any takers? $2700 for the pair... damn..

The event tickets also double as a full day transit pass for the day of the event. So technically you don't have to drive. You can take public transit to the event.

Man... I just lost my offical Olympic Volunteer driver cuz the bozo decided to get two back to back speeding tickets right before the Olympics. I guess he was in a rush cuz he didn't want to wet his undies.

Rant:
So much of this whole Olympic thing is really starting to put a bad taste in my mouth. No doubt a large part of it is from all the IOC butt-kissing we're doing. IOC big-wigs are permitted to smoke anywhere? Greenest Olympics ever, but the big-wigs need to drive around in SUVs?
Millions of dollars of tickets purchased (at taxpayer expense) to 'treat' out these big-wigs and whoever else?
The IOC is really coming off as a bunch of bullies. I dare not type the word, 'fl@me' lest I be sued for copyright infringement and then charged $5000 for their legal fees.
The government wants to look like they're supporting amateur athletics by pouring all of this money into the olympic athletes, but telling the athletes of the future to go walk in the park. I think somebody actually said that... go walk in the park... but can't remember who though. Instead all they want is a big show and to look good here and now. Screw the future.
One good thing about the Olympics, though. The US (and the rest of the world) should finally realize that we don't live in igloos up here.

What I heard is that they'll have designated smoking spots. And I'm not sure if its VANOC or the IOC to blame for most of it(maybe both). The stench of the corporate politics do leave a bad taste in my mouth also. Plus with all these dollars we're pouring into it, our presentation doesn't even really seem all that impressive.
We're not really showcasing a 'innovative city of the future', we're showcasing our natural beauty. Why is something natural and mostly free costing so much?
I was really hoping Vancouver would showcase something innovative and forward looking like taking an futuristic eco transportation/energy concept and going with it like they do in Dubai. It seems like we're saying 'Look, we're part of the big boys.' instead of 'We've got cool ideas that will make the bigboys look months behind'.
