WTF why so cheap

i bought my ps3 a few months ago for like 200

it's because it's the cheapest model with only 256Mb of memory. Either way though it's a good deal, if i were an xbox fan.. haha

maybe it comes with no controllers or cables or instructions or box or xbox.
you just pay jt $129 and watch him play xbox nekkid.

i read up online about the downfalls of the arcade version. Seems like the lack of HDD space is the biggest issue because you wont really be able to play online if your game requires a patch. Patches may be too big to fit on the measly 256mb HDD. This isn't that big of a deal unless you like demos, but you basically wont be able to try downloadable demos because all the worthwhile ones are too big.

I don't know what they were thinking with the 256MB of memory... there are $10 USB keys with more memory on them.

did they actually use a hard disk drive or solid state?
i didn't know they made either that small still. can't you just upgrade it like i did with my old xbox?

not sure which one it is... you can spring for an external xbox HDD for like $100, but that's lame because you might as well buy the higher model... i think it's not upgradeable or else other people would just buy this and slot in an HDD themselves

it's prob not upgradable from factory, that's why you have to use haxors to do it.

i know this guy that still uses his hacked original xbox as a media center for his whole house. i wonder if i shouldn't have given my old one to my sister.

I was giving away my old hacked xbox on the thread where I was selling stuff and giving stuff away.

actually, the old xbox was pretty good, from what i hear the 360 has a more complicated interface and so it's not as great for a media center. not to mention that it's supposedly harder to hack the 360.
