Open Mind = Bad Memory

I think I'm relatively open minded, and I also know for a fact that I have a bad memory.
So here's my theory: Open Mind = Bad Memory? (Because the mind is too open, so the memories spill out)
Scientifically, I think the more open minded one is, the more likely synapses are going to seek out connections with other synapses, foregoing older connnections in the progress and losing memories
Therefore, if I'm more closed-minded, my memory would improve.
Who wants to be the control for my experiment?

i'm open minded sorta.. bad memory but i assume its cuz i purposely dont put effort into remembering things, and drinking, and a few concussions, and calorie deficient diet and a few other things.

makes no sense.
i won't ever believe you, heck i won't even listen, so don't even try to convince me.
and i have a pretty open mind, but my memory is sharp as a steel trap.

you dont remember things because your mind finds them irrelevant
so you arent as open minded as you think you are! haha

I think your memory is better if you have a closed mind, but for a totally different (and less complex) reason. If you're closed minded, you just have less stuff to remember.
Maybe your memory is bad because it's being occupied by overly complex analyses of simple everyday things.

maybe your memory is bad because your memory is bad.
and your open mind is from having an open mind.
