Your mom or your dad??

After reading through Shaun's post, and then Nathan's hijacking of said post, I got to thinking about all our parents. At first glance, it seems to me that for the most part, our mother's are taking better care of themselves... or at least maintaining their overall level of health better than our dad's. Well.... among most of my friends anyways.

Just wondering, cuz my mom's a freaking tank.

Growing up I'd say my dad took better care of himself. They both ate the same food which was always fairly healthy, but my dad had a physical job. Years of having a sedentary lifestyle and a stressful job have taken their toll on my mom. She's taking better care of herself now, going on 5km walks 3-4 times each week, helping with the yardwork, going on an occasional bike ride, etc, but things only get tougher the older you get.

I applaud her effort.

my mom is probably in better shape healthwise but my dad could still kick her ass.

my dad, although not working out or anything like 20 years ago was stronger than billy tung who worked out extensively something crazy like everyday. chalk another one up for them fong genes haha.
