think it's real or fake or just something else?

If that person is a time traveler, that means she would be from a future more advanced than us... you would think that being more advanced than we are now, they would have more advanced technology than some big brick shaped communications device. Even IF it was a communications device, why would she be using it so out in the open in front of a video camera?

Besides - who would she be talking to, and on which cellular network back in 1928?

a bluetooth device might've been even more attention drawing though. People would wonder if that guy's crazy just talking into air, but if you carry a brick like device, people will know you're crazy and try to avoid you since you're talking into a brick like device...

yea, that totally doesn't make sense but hey, look at my point count go up? haha...

either way, seems like an interesting hoax...

The brainwave-powered, direct thought communication device (Time Travel edition) requires direct contact with a person's head to be powered and function.

Also Bluetooth becomes banned in 2049 after scientists discover it causes time-spatial pollution.

Maybe it was one of those crazy mad scientists from the 80's who discovered time travel by accident and couldn't control it. They landed in 1928 and jury-rigged a makeshift short wave radio and is trying to communicate with someone else who time traveled together with her.

you guys are nuts. she clearly has a toothache and is holding a pack of ice against her face while swearing under her breath.

reasons why it's not a time traveler:
1. all time travelers know that time travel is a touchy subject. any slip up could disrupt the space time continuum. if she were a time traveler she'd be more discreet in using her zack morris phone.
2. time travel is serious business and takes a lot out of your mind and body. no way would they send someone back who was so fat.
3. continuing from the last point, no way would they send a woman.
4. if anything, this woman notice a real time traveler talking on a time phone and she's just imitating HIM.

so what became of this anyway? was it just an ad for something else?

No, that footage was real.
Whether or not that lady was on a cell phone is just speculation.
