So yesterday, G and I went to Best Buy at lunch to pick up the BD version of Star Trek. We get there and there's two versions... The Regular one that's $33.99 and another one that's $29.99. The cheaper one actually included a cheap replica of the Enterprise so I thought... no brainer.. buy that one. I hesitated though cuz the day before when we went to pick up something for Dunc we saw this.

$160, And I was gonna get it right away cuz it has space to hold all your Pixar DVD's, but alas, the wife quickly put an end to that idea. (it's battery operated and moves and lights on it's own.

So when I saw this.

I thought cool... too bad the wife's going to veto me again... but wait... it's CHEAPER!!!!

So around 10:00 when I finally got around to putting stuff away, I ripped it open and assembled it... pretty neat I thought. Then I figured I'd put in the movie just to look for the Battle scene where R2D2 is flying through the debris. I looked through the rest of the box and was like WTF!?!?!?!?! Where's my BD's??? I got freaking hosed. I know I know, it's obvious, but I was too tired and stressed out about the wife to realize that the BD's were inside the Enterprise.

Haha, I told you the discs would go inside the Enterprise! That is fricking sweet!

Oh, and another part to that story.

We went to Walmart afterwards so I could buy some Coke. We walked past a huge Up display and saw that there was a special edition case with a Dug doll attached. Jai went up to it and tried to see if Dug could talk, so he pushed the collar. To our surprise, it DID talk.. "SQUIRREL!", haha.

We both tried to see what the talking trigger was on the collar and where the sound came out of. We probably spent 5 minutes on all the different dolls and couldn't the trigger button. Then I realized that it was the actual huge display box that talked, and not the Dug doll. We both walked away disappointed and feeling stupid. we were pwned... haha

whoa, that thing came with the bd movie only for 33 bucks?! i'm so getting that!

oh wait, on second thought, it doesn't come with the traditional bd case does it? i'll actually have to have it out on display to store it? arrggg... i have a feeling once hayden gets tall enough to reach it, the USS enterprise will be destroyed...

oh sweet... star trek is definitely worth the buy... maybe i'll just put it somewhere she can't reach for now... especially since she likes to make a game out of pulling out all my bds and ps3 games from the shelf and throwing them all over the living room and occasionally opening a few cases... good thing the ones she wrecked are the ones gordon lent me oh wait...

just take it to your office, that's where all my toys are (most of my toys).

i guess technically it's the ncc-1701 without any letter designation it'd make you a trekkie. don't mix them up.

i thought leonard nimoy hates "trekker" or "trekkies" or whatever you wanna call them.. i can't imagine being hounded all the time by nerds like nat...
