Sure I am in. I need more motivation to get me down to a weight my knees can actually support.

Man, as the weather is getting bad... I don't have any indoor gym equipment or memberships of any type. I don't know if I can do this on diet alone.

Well... my next race might be on Sunday. That one for sure doesn't count.
As far as improving my time by x%... it depends on the race (distance/course) that I enter.
Also, my next race ( after the one on Sunday ) might be the Sun Run. The Sun Run is not a good race to try and get a PB due to the # of people so it shouldn't count. There may also be other warmup races between now and then as well. They shouldn't count either.
Instead of my 'next' race, how about making it my 'next KEY' race. Earliest key race dates, May 1, 2011 (BMO Vancouver) or May 29, 2011 (Scotia Calgary).
Finally, the goal has to match the training, and I haven't quite decided what sort of training I want to do and depends on the kind of winter that we get.
Basically what I'm saying is that I'm considering doing a full marathon. But if I'm gonna spend 6 months training to run slow, it'll be next to impossible to get a pb in a 10k or even a half. I'm just not sure if I want to take the plunge yet, or if it's wise for me to do so.
Oh... and trust me... running a marathon is gonna hurt plenty!!
*thinking*

Gonna go swimming twice a week if anyone wants to join... either Bonsor or Killarney. That's zero impact for us perpetually injured. I feel the MCL on my right leg stressed all the time now.

would like to go swimming but i don't know how to... i guess i could go to tread water for 30minutes...
G, i can burn you a copy of hiphop abs if you are looking for something you can do at home
you can lose weight on diet alone.. it's certainly a lot harder though. JT doesn't have a membership either, but i think he goes to bonsor and just pays drop in every now and then, you guys could go together and be workout buddies.

fwiw:
Bonsor pool is closed Nov 22 - Dec 12
Killarney pool is closed Nov 22 - Dec 19
I believe Watermania in Richmond is open during those days... or at least it was last year.

Lol... pool closures ftw. I actually wanted to do some swimming too!
I guess there are other pools too that we can look into.

hey, if you guys get ahold of calipers, I want in on it too. always wanted a caliper test.
Diet probably plays more part in weight loss than exercise. Exercise just makes it alot easier.
