i don't know if it's because i'm getting old or getting more stress or what, but it seems like i feel sick more often lately. i got sick over the summer when i was ontario and since then i've probably felt sick (like sore throat or stuffy/runny nose) maybe like 5 times (i used to get sick maybe once a year before).
anyway, my nose is stuffy now and i've been coughing. what do you guys do to prevent getting sick? i used to take cold fx but it's so freaking expensive. i think i'll go home later for some soup.

When I feel a cold coming on, I take a multivitamin each day and then drink lots of water. That usually does the trick for me.
If multivitamins are too expensive for you still, then just buy some of those Halls Vitamin C lozenges. They are okay too.

I've never tried Cold FX before... I guess I never had to because usually multivitamins work for me.

some people swear by it, some others say it's just a placebo. sometimes it works for me, but then again sometimes it doesn't.
what doesn't change is its price. freaking expensive.

I think once you get to the point that your nose is already a little stuffy and you're coughing its a little too late. If I start preventative measures when I start feeling fatigued, I usually get better results. Drinking lots of water to the point that your piss is crystal clear seems to help me, especially when I feel fatigued.
I noticed I get sick alot less often now that I exercise regularily, sleep regularly, eat somewhat healthy, and drink lots of water.
I take multivitamins almost everyday but I'm not completely convinced that they do anything except make your pee radioactive. I used to take them and get sick often also in the past.
A co-worker of mine says he gets sick all the time from his kids, his colds like pass around and mutate from him, his two kids and his wife.

I can get by with 1 litre a day.. I just find my body functions better with more but I do play sports/work out and sweat 5 days of the week.
I think I read somewhere that 8 cups is recommended.. thats about 2 litres. I try to drink anywhere from 2L to 4L not including liquids I get from milk/food/soups/pop a day.

i also heard that pop actually reverses the effect of water. not sure if that's true though.
