um which is worthwhile to get. not getting a data plan, so just the non-data plan ones...
I don't really need a new phone so I may not keep it either, so which would be easiest to resell for the most?

i said non-data plan phones... and i think there is no benefit to get no phone, so I might as well choose one.

You could resell the iphone then get a good non smart phone............
or if you must.. get the Sony Ericsson T715a

seems like a decent overall phone. Saw some other positive reviews in the past.

You have to sign up for data if you want to get a smart phone, and since Joel isn't getting data, he can't get any of them.
The Sony Ericsson Vivaz Pro looks pretty cool, but you have to pay $75 for it even on plan.

actually, due to an error on fido's part, they didn't see that i had a contract on my data and charged me 200 bucks for the iphone. i'm sure by reselling you could get a lot more than $200.
i got the lg xenon. sold it for almost $100 after posting it on craigslist for about a day. i've seen it go for more, but i didn't want to bother.
there were guys on the vw forum i frequent who really wanted that phone too, there were like three in line but the cl guy emailed first.

I just found out the fido is charging a new 25$ administration fee for upgrading your phone on an existing account. The fee starts as of tomorrow Dec 1.
Don't know if any of you are contemplating upgrading a phone with them but if you were going to, you should do it tonight before the fee is put in place.

i think that's how it works.
I have also heard that they may be starting a new thing where they only do handset upgrades for contracts that are greater than 50$/month too...

iphones suck lol.
anyway, if you need to get a phone i'd go gordon's route and get the sony vivas or whatever. it looks pretty sleek and even at 75 bucks (which i assume will be covered by your fido dollars), you could probably make another 75 by selling it on craigslist (if you put it at $150 which i think is fair).
do it.
