That last one was so freaking close to my house. Saw a flash and it wasn't even half a second after that I heard the boom.

i ran upstairs to see if any houses got hit. a lot of car alarms going off, but no fires.

probably. those things start off pretty high up, a lot of people probably thought it was going to hit their house.

There are so many tall trees everywhere.. chances of one hitting a house before a tree is pretty low. Now a bolt hitting a tree and then the tree then falling down on a house is more likely.

yeah, but aren't there those tall metal poles all over the place to prevent that from happening?
