Need a new laptop

Laptop > Desktop:
Desktop isn't portable. Can't use the desktop and watch tv at the same time; it's way on the other side of the room.

Laptop > Tablet:
I don't care for the Tablet geometry. I need a proper keyboard. I don't like the idea of a touchscreen. I need at least a 15" screen.

I wouldn't really say netbook/laptop/desktop is better than one or the other. They both have the advantages and disadvantages.

It really depends on what your needs are for the machine.

As for tablets I think it's still trying to find it purposes. Tablets have actually been around for 4-5 years if not longer but not until the ipad has it found any mass appeal. I have always thought that a tablet type device would make the most sense in a classroom type setting. But not sure if it's been marketed for that purpose.

makes sense. i dig the portability of a laptop especially for those times when i'm taking those 45 minute trips to the can lol.

i guess i'm just thinking that the versatility of a desktop is what i'm looking for, and wondering if laptops have gotten better in that market, but i guess not.

Holy Crap.. I just tried it and built Shaun's machine and it worked.... came out... reg $2553.00... with code for today only $1389.70

Get it Shaun... that's the same as demo price. You won't find a notebook with that resolution / specs for that price in a business class machine anytime soon.
