Ummmm didn't you see them set it up? it was on a projection screen and the logo and strobe was set up behind the screen.... looked pretty analog to me. The video you just watched even had the "insert flash here" so that was just the screener for the actual setup. Pretty sure that it wasn't meant to work via any other medium.

yeah you're right. i was reading the comments too and apparently you need a special screen and such.
