why not? apparently, it seems like some people did...

i always thought some of it was ridiculous too... it's like oh this family lost their home and are poor... but yay they get a new house, with the latest and greatest of everything and a whole bunch of unpractical things in it... but if they are poor how the heck are they suppose to pay their utilities for the brand new mansion that probably uses triple the power their shack used to...

they are basically forced into selling it, since they can't afford it.

they didn't get away with it though. well, they still got the house, but i have a feeling they'll be facing lawsuits and stuff.

The people on this show always seem to be poor... but they still own a huge enough piece of land for a mansion to be built on it.

I'm not poor, but I can't even afford a big plot of land out in Langley.

hardly any of them live in urban areas though. from the ones i've seen at least.

it seems like they're all living out in little towns and stuff like that.
