so my church has a pseudo relationship with the burnaby hospice society (only because we have a few members that are involved with them), and i was asked to promote their first annual golf tournament.

friday june 24 at the burnaby mtn golf course
$225 individual or $800 for a foursome gets you in the tournament, a golf cart, a boxed lunch and dinner.

now that i think about it, it sounds freaking expensive.

how much is a cart rental? and i guess dinner is probably around $50 too.

holy, bby mtn is one of the cheapest golf courses in the city too... it's $45 for a green fee, not $55. $55 is for riverway i think



$45.00 * 4 = $180 for four green fees
$27.50 * 2 = $55 for the power cart that two people can share
$50.00 * 4 = $200 max for dinner/lunch for four people

for what they're offering... that's like pocketing almost 50% of the fee... zomg

but i guess it's going for to a good cause?

I'd only play if 1) the prizes were awesome, or 2) they decrease the fee to at most $150 per person for what they're offering.

lol yeah, when they told me the fees i was like... uh... ok good luck.

i don't even want to pay $200 for those children's hospital charity things, and for that i have a chance at winning a house.

whoever set the fees is on crack haha... i wonder if they modeled the fees after another charity tourney they saw that might've held it's event at a better and more expensive course. I'd understand the fee if it were at Westwood plateau or something where the green fee ranges from $75-$125 depending on the season, day of week, and/or time of day. But even then, that includes a power cart.

but $225 to play bby mountain, no thx... i'd sooner pay the $45 green fee and walk the course and spend the $180 i'm saving on some round 2 canuck tickets...

haha, i was merely making a point that $180 could buy round 2 canucks tix... not necessarily tix that were this or next year's tix... just that $180 is a lot of money... well, to me anyway. I'm not rich like some people...

and no, i don't want in haha... tell your church that they have an expensive price for a cheap cheap course... then again, it's usually people who have money to blow who go to events like this anyway...
