pink peppercorn seafood house

so joyce and i went there for dinner tonight. It's a little place on kingsway and dumfries.

supposed started up by one of the house chefs from the cannery. didnt' know anything about the restaurant previous to trying it tonight. it was actually very good. entrees range between 20-40$.
joyce had the arctic black cod (36$) and i had the salmon wellington (26$). both entrees tasted great. also had a seafood tartare that was just ok. they have a couple of steak choices too but can't comment on them at all. i got through only half my entree. portions were pretty generous. great little place for slightly nicer seafood. very good service too. it also didn't seem too busy in there for a saturday evening.

i would recommend if you are in the mood for a little bit more classier seafood than your standard fare seafood chain.

oh yeah, we went there a couple months ago too, it was pretty good. did the chef come out to talk to you guys? he came to our table and introduced himself and my father in law was like, "hey, can you pack up our leftovers?"

it was hilarious.

Interesting... I never would have imagined a nicer type of restaurant to be in a place like that.

yeah the location for the restaurant is not exactly ideal for the type of food they serve and i am guessing probably one of the reasons it does not get more business.

yeah i was surprised when i pulled in too. and then more surprised when the next day i went to white spot and realised that i was right across the street from it.
