i think so long as the cad stays near parity with USD it's still worthwhile to shop in the states. maybe when it goes back to like 70-75 cents or something the cost may outweigh the benefits..

i don't go there that much. it's just that the last time i went i didn't get a chance to get something that winnie wanted, and i also got something for ryan that winnie didn't want (so we're going to return it haha).

dont think the US dollar will get stronger anytime soon. stock markets have been very volatile in both Canada and the US this week. Annnnd people are fearing another recession lol

We've been buying stuff online instead. A lot of the major retailers will ship to Canada or to a store in Canada. If they do US shipping only, we ship to TSB shipping in Pt. Roberts. Usually, they'll have the same stuff on sale as the stores, and there's online coupons too.

If they ship UPS or Fedex, then u have to pay brokerage when it comes in, unless u go clear yourself, if u have the free time. US post only charges GST and duty if any.

Which US retailer would ship to a CDN retail outlet?

we order lots of stuff online, but if i'm down there i might as well shop too.
we hardly go down just to shop, although we were supposed to last week but that didn't work out.

we usually ship it to jen wang's place, but if that won't work i think my sister has a p.o. box somewhere. we won't ship it to our house because of what fynn said, and i usually use the pastor card at the border and i always get through no questions asked.
