So i get a call this morning at 8am on my cell from area code (876)...

DK: Hello?
Caller: Hi, my name is David Gold and you have won 2 million dollars and a jeep.
DK hangs up

10 seconds later...

*ring ring*

DK: Hello?
Caller: Hi, why did you hang up on me?
DK: Because
Caller: Don't you want your prize?
DK: SuuuRReee
Caller: I'm David Gold calling from the Publishers Clearing House lottery and you've been selected as a winner to our 2 million dollar draw and a jeep!
DK: uhhh
Caller: Do you want us to give you your prize privately or publicly?
DK: hah, ok privately
Caller: You don't want the cameras and crew to come to your door?
DK: Nope
Caller: Ok, do you want your prize in cash/chq or wire transfer?
DK: Cash please
Caller: you sure you don't want us to wire it to you?
DK: Sure, tell how you got my number first
Caller: If you've paid your bills on time or bought an item from walmart, that's how.
DK: That doesn't make sense, i don't pay my bills on time and i don't shop at walmart
Caller: You don't pay your bills on time?
DK: Tell me what's my name...
Caller: Umm, i just put it down a second ago... let me see, it should be in the computer.
DK: How about you call me back when you figure out my name
Caller: Ok, i'll call you back

*click*

2 minutes later... (while i google the number, and see that it's from Jamaica and tons of red flags from people reporting scam pop up)

*ring ring*

DK: Hello mr Gold
Caller: Hi, i've contacted the ad agency to get your information
DK: Sure you did
Caller: Why don't you give me your name instead?
DK: I find it hard to believe that i've won something and you don't even know my name
Caller: I'm just waiting for the ad agency for your info
DK: and i find it hard to believe that Publishers Clearing House would call me from Jamaica
Caller: We're ALL OVER THE WORLD
DK: Right
Caller: Do you want your prize?
DK: Sure, but first, why don't you tell me your real name and why you want to scam me?
Caller: DAVID GOLD!

You should say that I already have 2 Jeeps and 4 million dollars, so you don't need the extra $2 mil and jeep. BUT, if he gives you his name and account number, you'll gladly transfer the money over to him.

haha, i just read a post on some phone number flagging site that a dude got called too, and it was the same guy who called himself david gold too. then the guy says that he'll call him back for some reason, and when he does, he calls with a different number and the same guy picks up and says, "Hi, my name is Tony, did we contact you about your winnings?" lol... fail... seriously, some people have to be really dumb to fall for these scammers... sadly enough, i think many people actually do fall for these scams
