Can we stop calling the people who voted against HST as "stupid' and "morons"? There are legitimate reasons for not wanting the HST too.
Of the 55% that voted against HST - of course there are the ones who are stupid or are morons, but not all of them.
Plus, of the 45% who voted FOR HST - how many of them only voted that way solely based on the promise of it being lowered to 10%? Isn't that voting based on political agendas and handouts too?
I think we can talk this out without resorting to offending anyone in the forums.
Me personally, I have good valid reasons for voting either way. It was a hard decision for me and I honestly don't see anyone as a moron for voting either way.
I would call people morons for making an uninformed vote, or not voting at all... but not for someone who made an informed vote either way. And from what I have found, I cannot find any way of telling whether or not someone was informed before voting, so we can't make general statements like calling them morons.
