seems pretty smart to me... basically had their own street race in broad daylight, are now publicized over the net, papers, etc... and now all the have to do is pay a 200$ fine each...

if their aim was attention and short lived fame and probably a kick ass time, then they probably got exactly what they wanted.

not that i encourage such behavior... but if were still a high school student and just pulled this off and own one of these cars, and basically living the life of one of those guys, i am pretty much having the time of my life...

That's why they were only charged with driving without due care... there's no proof of what speed they were going.

i thought there were a bunch of eye witnesses or something. going 200km/hr in one of those cars wouldn't be unheard of, and getting to that speed probably wouldn't take too long anyway.

most people can't tell how fast they were going, but i guess they were still speeding and that's enough? and not to mention that society hates rich kids, so they always get the bum rap.
