i saw a video on that siri thing, it looks pretty cool, but i have this funny feeling that it's not going to work anywhere near as good as they describe it to.

#3717 in line at Fido for iPhone 4S pre-order. I heard the Apple store pre-orders were shipping today from China, so hopefully I won't have to wait much longer... Siri looks fun

i think i got #5700 something when i preordered alicia's 4s... i read that they're pumping the 4s out at a rate of roughly 150k-200k units a day from all their factories world wide... if that's the case, the wait might not be that bad... i think the bottleneck though will be the shipping time...

too bad i got alicia the white 4s, if i got the black one, i bet if i gave her my 4 and took her 4s, she wouldn't notice the difference at all lol

lol... $5 says alicia would use siri only once a month at best...

in any case, i don't mind not having siri... it'd be nice to have it, but i think i can wait until the technology's a little more mature. I'll probably end up getting a iphone 5s... my contract doesn't end til 2014 so i don't think i can get a HUP until 2013 anyways... speaking of which, aren't you on a 3 yr contract too jai? you gonna work the customer relations rep over to give you the 4s at the contract pricing w/o signing a contract?

Nope... porting my parents over from Rogers... two iPhone 4s. Then we trade phones. This way, they always get our hand-me-downs and we'll only miss one generation jump out of every three.

can't you just renew your contract after a year and get the discounts? i remember reading about someone who did that.

Actually, you can renew after 2 years... but then you'd be stacking a new 3 year contract on top of the remaining 1 year that you have.

yea, but after stacking once, you're hooped because either way you slice it, you're still waiting 3 years to hit that remaining 1 year for HUP... i hear somewhere that there was a party that was trying to get a legislation done where mobile contracts could only be max 2 years in length...

I was planning on doing the same with alicia, but she complained that she always got my handmedowns but she wouldn't notice the diff anyways... but me being an awesome husband, i'm gonna let her keep the 4s...
