It wasn't a surprise that Pentatonix won... although, I do like Dartmouth Aires, but mostly just because of their lead singer. The rest of the group is too dorky to make it pro.

no, i actually don't even really know when it's on haha. we just have it set to record automatically.

So I was watching the Christmas special... it sucked. The season 1 winners came on to do some songs, and compared to the second and third season winners, they really really suck.

They did a cool song with flo rida though

yeah, nota or whatever. i only saw the last episode of the first season, and from what i remember, the first season was like 6 groups competing and the judges deciding who leaves and stays. oh, and the season was like two episodes long.

oh yeah, i finally saw the finale too. i'm actually surprised that the dartmouth aires or whatever didn't win seeing as how they probably represent a huge fan base consisting of their entire school and a multitude of families. pentatonix were just 5 nerds nobody knew.

I liked Michael from Dartmouth Aires, and maybe that other lead singer guy who does the rock songs... but that's about all that's distinguishing about them.

All 5 of the Pentatonix guys are crazy talented.

I get what you're saying though... the Aires have more popularity and should've won with that.

pentatonix definitely was the better group, but these types of shows aren't about talent, they're about popularity.

i think the dartmouth aires should do their own broadway show. they'd kick ass. i'd pay to see that.

In the Christmas special, they said that would be their last time performing together. Since they didn't win, they can't afford to stay together as a group.

I'm sure Michael will be getting some recording or Broadway deals though.

but they're just like a college choir, right? i thought that's where they came from.

Yeah, they're a college choir group.
I guess they were pretty entertaining as a group.

what i mean by them being a college group is that they probably don't stay together after graduation anyway.

They would've only stayed together if they won the competition and had a recording contract.
