i get some pretty bad insomnia too at times, i read that it's tough to TRY to fall asleep, because when you can't you feel stressed and that makes it worse. instead, find a relaxation technique. it might mean taking a bath, drinking warm milk, read a book, or even for some, go for a jog. but avoid all brain-stimulating activities like playing games, talking/texting on your phone, surfing for porn, etc.
however, if it's a medical reason, you're hooped. have fun in zombieland.
