Just wondering if there's a site that you guys use to browse real estate in the city. I usually use realtor.ca, but are there any other ones you guys use that might be better or provide more info?

i forgot to mention this, but the other day i saw a unit in the building by kandie's mom's building (facing broadway) that was 2 bedroom + den, 991 sq ft (i think), for $299,000 i thought that sounded pretty cheap.

LOL, the first house in the $1M gallery is like 3 blocks away from my place.

It's fine and all to have a look at what $XXX will buy you in other parts of the country, but you also have to take into account what your earning potential is there too.

that's very true... but you could also be like your sis and make even more in halifax and spend less because it costs less to live there... save oodles of money and retire at 45 and live the rest of your life in vancouver... if only i were smart enough to go into med... why didn't i listen to my chinese genes and go into medicine/dentistry/law/etc

She actually makes less there. But her "less" there is still a ridiculously obscene amount. If she did the exact same types of surgery here in BC as she is doing there, she'd be clearing 7 figures a year.

pft, 7 figures. that's only 2 figures more than me.

jen wang makes a killing in the states. and her house only cost like $300k. and it's pretty freaking nice in a pretty freaking nice area. wil told me that he once forgot to close the garage door before going to work and when he got home everything was intact.
