Overall it was a great time despite the weather. A few tents blew over when it started storming, but the sun came back out after a while. Haha i couldnt walk the next day. But you dont have to run, there are people walking and running. There are also a bunch of things to keep the kids entertained. Joyce n Joel dropped by for a bit too which was cool to see!

I suggest people people check them out. They have others in different cities in the GVRD coming up.

how did you get involved in this anyway?

A handful of people from my company create a team for this every year apparently, they just asked me if I want to be part of it. I know the Canadian Cancer Society is one of organizations with really good rep so why not!

Having said that, I interviewed for a volunteer position some years back at their office by Broadway and didn't get it. damnit.

jk, we have to be careful with volunteers these days too. never know what's lurking in the shadows you know.
