if you're not tanning or sitting out in the sun for hours, the extra vitamin d will do you good. but if you're like gardening or mowing the lawn, it's probably a good idea to cover up a bit.
however, regular daily activities won't require much protection. in fact, it could be detrimental (we need some sun).
or, so says the doctor i was talking to about it, at least.
