i think you can renew within 14 months of your end date... i remember that's what i did to get my iphone4... totally regret it now because i stacked a 3 yr contract on top of my remaining 14 months... meaning i'm stuck with this phone for 4 years. I could renew within 14 months of my next end date in 2014, but somehow i don't wanna do that again haha... i guess i wont be looking for a new phone until the iphone 6 era

I got rogers to waive my early upgrade fee after 1 year on the upgrade i got nat. The CS said something about the BB being a crappy phone. Took like 5 tries tho.

for myself, i usually get non-subsidized phones mostly because fido's phone selection sucks. winnie doesn't care so we get her subsidized phones. you were saying that you can't get a new phone until your contract is up, but i'm saying that you can if you don't get a subsidized one.

anyway, i played with my brother's iphone 5 the other day. the casing seems pretty nice, and it's noticeably lighter, however other than that i couldn't really tell the difference between it and winnie's iphone 4. oh, except that the apps that i tried crashed and i never was able to launch them.

just saying that i'm glad the whole hardware upgrade thing didn't work for me.
