Book: Ready Player One

For those who still read books.. I found this one very engaging.

"Ready Player One" by Ernest Cline

It's a sci-fi story based in a future world, but in this future world, they have brought back 80's retro culture. The whole world is in a post-fossil fuel shortage/crash, but it focuses mostly on a immersive virtual reality game that everyone is obsessed about calle OASIS. The creator of the game died, but before he died, he left a video message for the whole world saying that there's a hidden easter egg in the game. Whoever finds the easter egg first would inherit his $250 billion fortune.

It's about 30-40 years in the future.

40 yrs ago, you could buy a comic book for 5cents... now they're like 2-5bucks each... that's like upto 100x inflation! heh, i suppose a $1 candy bar would only cost $100 in 40 yrs... not 250 bil.. although i'd still shudder to think of $100 candy bars lol
