Gmail - what the heck?

Ok, so... I rarely ever use my gmail account. I used to use it to archive old email that I wanted to keep but didn't really wand to see... if that makes sense. Then I stopped using it. I just logged in today and noticed that all but my most recent email, mostly youtube spam, has been deleted.

I guess they got tired of scanning the same old email over and over again and decided to delete it. Has anybody else experienced this before?

When was the last time you logged in?

It's never happened to me before in my 8 years of using it. I still have a copy of the first email sent to this email address.
Gmail did have a big server outage a couple years back though and some users lost all their emails.

speaking of email issues, winnie can't send emails using her shaw account on her phone.
her ipad works fine, and it's using the same exact settings. wtf.

Is her phone using wifi or 3G when it's having issues?

wifi. she doesn't have a data plan.

Then I have no clue... her iPhone's broken.

she gets emails just fine. just when she sends it says that her address is rejected by the server. i've deleted her account and re-entered it like twice, and still nothing.

stupid iphones and they way they do email.

I don't know anything about iphones but is the return address she's sending from also a shaw address?

ie. If she's using shaw to send an email, her return address might also need to be a shaw address.

Just a guess.

it is a shaw address.
the weird thing is that the settings are exactly the same on her ipad, which works fine both sending and receiving. not sure why it isn't working on her phone.
